Bring back the ragga jungle! Se, da un lato, molti considerano il crossover con il reggae-raggamuffin una cosa obsoleta e troppo legata a canoni musicali del passato, dall'altro lato non passa anno in cui non affiori qualche singolo che, invece, inietta ancora, prepotentemente, ruvide rime sopra un arrangiamente moderno di drum'n'bass.
In questo specifico caso, il risultato è deflagrante, a mio parere…Probabilmente era da quando i Warlockz avevano inaugurato la loro avventura discografica con Crunk Records (l'esplosiva "Walk with ya friendz" targata 1999) che non mi capitava di sentire un così potente e autentico ragga jungle anthem, che sicuramente non mancherà di affiorare in playlist anche non necessariamente legate al suono del drum'n'bass, vista la decisa orecchiabilità.
A meno che la sola idea di raggamuffin e jungle accoppiati vi dia troppo sapore di "passato", questo brano è indicato, a opinione di chi scrive, per praticamente tutti i tipi di playlist, da quelle più influenzate da suoni liquidi e funk, a quelle più cupe e tecnologiche…

Bring back the ragga jungle! If, from one side, many consider the crossover with reggae-raggamuffin as an obsolete thing of the past, on the other side a year cannot pass with some vinyl that, instead, injects again rough lyrics upon a modern drum'n'bass arrangement.
In this specific situation, the result is fat as hell, in my opinion...Probably it was since Walockz started the discographic adventure with Crunk Records (the explosive "Walk with ya friendz" back in '99), that I didn't hear such a powerful and authentic ragga jungle anthem, that surely won't miss to emerge even in playlist not necessarily oriented towards drumn'n'bass, due to the catchy refrain.
Unless just the idea of coupling raggamuffin and jungle together gives you already too much "thing of the past" favour, this track is a must-have, in the opinion of the writer, practically for all kind of playlist in drum'n'bass, from the ones more oriented towards liquid and funky sounds, to the ones most influenced by dark and technological vibrations...
