Ancora uno split single per Incident, equamente suddiviso tra gli stessi padroni della label e i produttori USA conosciuti come Mathematics, sempre più presenti nelle uscite delle top labels britanniche.
"One day", a firma del trio statunitense, mostra subito quali saranno i sentieri percorsi in questo vinile, in altre parole pulsanti traiettorie iniettate di black music. Campioni vocali si fanno strada su un ritmo 2 step, fino all'arrivo di un possente basso sub distorto a dovere, sui cui continuano ad incrociarsi i giochi di vocals e un fumoso sample di derivazione reggae, dando al'arrangiamento una connotazione decisamente ipnotica.
L'altro trio, quello UK based, continua sul tema nel secondo brano, "Brasil 66", pur spostando l'atmosfera verso panorami più solari: anche qui troviamo giochi di vocals stralunati, forse ancora più ossessivi che nel brano precedente, ma che si stemperano su un arrangiamento di synth decisamente più funk, che poggia sulla consueta ritmica fluida caricata a dovere di bassi sub.

Another split single for Incident, equally divided between the label owners themselves and the US producers known as Mathematics, more and more present in most of the top UK labels’ releases.
"One day"; by the US trio, shows at once which paths will be walked in this vinyl, in other words, pulsating trajectories injected with black music. Vocal samples pave the way on a 2 step rhythm, until a powerful sub bass comes in, with the due distortion, to push the rhythm on which the vocal games and a smokey reggae-derived sample cross together, giving to the arranged a rather hypnotic nuance.
The other trio, the UK based one, go on following the same theme on the second track, "Brasil 66", though leading the atmosphere towards more sunny landscapes: even here we can find stoned vocal tricks, maybe even more obsessive than on the first track, though they water down on a definitely funky-er synths arrangement, that stands on the usual fluid rhythm section, loaded as due with sub basses.
