SelectedDiscography
"John Donne" CD (1996) Press Quotes "Tarwater’s deadpan, robotic delivery nicely captures the ironic subtext quality of the "Orgy Porgy" chant which is a mindless celebration of both the totalitarian state and sensual pleasure." – ALTERNATIVE PRESS "But in a genre where the usual tactic is to sound as robot-like as possible, Tarwater deftly blends its avant-garde electronics with a human presence." – CMJ "Their music warm yet technically vigilant like, say, DJ Shadow’s, Tarwarter’s individual and vaguely threatening atmosphere exists by juxtaposing their tunes with a delibertately frigid and scientific choice of words." - NME "Tarwater’s knawing tension gets right to the bone. A masterpiece." – JOCKEY SLUT "Creeps under the skin like a particularly cathartic session of aural acupunture." – GEAR "Tarwater is one of the bands leading the postrock revolution in Germany. Susing avant-gared techniques and modern technology into a pop song framework." - GROOVES "Curiously fragile, mechanical art-rock with low impact seductiveness that’s kept me coming back for more." - YOUR FLESH |
