Dopo l'eccellente anthem oldschool di "See me burning", uno dei migliori brani contenuti nei 3 volumi di Sektor EP (su Advanced), ritorna Baron con il primo vinile a suo appannaggio su CIA, due brani decisamente dirottati su altre atmosfere. "Meet the creeper" parte con un ipnotico loop sonoro a cavallo tra un didgeridoo e una voce filtrata al vocoder per dirompere nella ritmica squadrata e ossessiva, adornata di una bassline minimale e claustrofobica, il tutto molto vicino a certe sonorità presenti anche in certe produzioni dell'ultima Full Cycle (l'ultimo vinile di D Product ad esempio…). La flipside, meno minimale e leggermente più dilatata, non cambia di molto, comunque, le prospettive sonore, sfoderando un acido lead che affiora su una valanga di bassi e una batteria addizionata di amen drummer. Senza dubbio un singolo molto convincente in entrambi i lati, che evita di cadere in soluzioni scontate e che conferma come il nome di Baron sia da tenere sott'occhio

After the excellent oldschool anthem of "See me burning", one of the best tracks in the 3 Sektor EPs (on Advanced), Baron comes back with his first personal vinyl single on CIA, two tracks definitely oriented towards different atmospheres. "Meet the creeper" starts with an hypnotic loop oscillating between a didgeridoo and a vocoder-ized vocal, to blow up, then, in an obsessive and squared rhythm, with an heavy claustrophobic bassline. All very similar to certain sounds present even on certain productions of the late Full Cycle camp (the last vinyl by D Product comes to mind...). The flipside, less minimal and slightly more dilated, doesn't change much, anyway, the sound perspectives, showing up an acid lead that climbs up on an avalanche of bass and on a rhythm with addition of amen drummer. Without any doubt: a very convincing single, in both sides, that avoids to fall on foreseen solutions and that confirms the fact that the name of Baron is worthy to keep under an eye.
