System Tempo EP (Rump Recordings) A1.Nothing A2.B A3.Rumpstep B4.Ekko

Hi Anders! I've listened to System's last Ep. It's really cheeky! Another wedge in the colourful mosaic of Danish electronic-dub music scene! Are you going to publish a follow-up of Tempo? We hope so. At the momment we are all very busy working with another project (a quartet called People Press Play). But we have some new tracks in the pipeline.

In your own words, what are the peculiarities of Danish scene which distinguish it from the rest of the world? Well, it's hard to say...I think the danish scene is quite varied, most international trends have their niche in the danish scene. I think the way I look at danish music is colored by my taste in music. But maybe danish music has a tendency to be more minimal. We are quite good a making sort of see-through music. And we are often very good friends with melancholy.

The reason/s for this 5 yrs long period of silence? We have been working with our solo projects (Dub Tractor, Acustic and Opiate). And making music for films. And our new band, People Press Play, with the singer Sara Savery. And we are not really in a hurry to release records. We have allready released a lot of material (solo and together), so we just take our time to make our music evolve...if it doesn't we just don't release it....

Future 3 has been of the most interesting discovery coming from that latitudes some yrs ago. Very good contemplative music. Are going to make a reprise of it? No, not really. But maybe some of the atmosphere lives on in our current projects.

How do you think music will evolve in the nearest future? Oh no, not an easy question...but I think there will be more and more and more bands filling up the internet. Maybe one day soon the number of bands on the earth will exceed the number of people.

What's your opinion on what has recently happened at Noerrebro's Ungdomshuset? Not really, I used to go there a lot, but thats many, many years ago.

Any work in progess??? We are working on solo projects and on stuff with People Press Play.
