La sua voce ha incantato il mondo con "Music Sounds Better With You", Benjamin Diamond e' al suo primo album con la K!7. Non nascondiamo il nostro stupore nella scelta dell'etichetta tedesca di pubblicare il nuovo disco di questo signorino - intitolato Out Of Myself-(la faccia ci ricorda -non ce ne voglia- quella di Gigi D'Alessio, anche se il suo sound non suscita gli stessi rigurgiti e i conati di vomito dello scugnizzo nappoletano, sulla cui fama tantissimi nutrono sospetti... che sia un mascheramento mal riuscito? un simile dubbio ha disegnato un'espressione di sgomento sulla faccia di chi scrive), dato che trattasi di pop. Ben rimaneggiata. Ma pur sempre pop. Anche se non e' proprio disgustosa, come le cose (non sapevamo trovare migliore soggetto...) che normalmente si fregiano di questo distintivo. Hi Benjamin. How are you? I feel pretty fine, i'm rehersing buy now, i'm preparing a gig in Paris, the 9th of may

Explain something about the birth of your new album to thevibes.net readers? For me it is a very positive evolution, I learned a lot making an album by my own.It was very important for me to control everything from the begginning to the end, it was the only way I have found , to be close from what I really wanted to do.

I think it's the first time for K7 to publish a pop/rock album. Why did you think the K7 headquarters decided to publish you one? Does that music sound better with you? I meet Stefan from K7 at the end of the last summer. He was very exciting about listening my demos.. Then, he thought that it would be a good idea to release something together? It was very important for me, to find some partners, music lovers, who wanted to make a part of the road with me.

For Mr Diamond the last period have been like a whirlwind, as his success has seen him give up their day jobs and take on the roles of serious musicians for the foreseeable future. So was the Out Of Myself a combination of your personal experiences? So can what can we expect a sequel of it? Yes, out of myself is very influenced with personal experiences, but this is not what exiting me when i'm doing music. I'm trying to find my way across the music, i always wanted my song being the mirror of the poeple's mind. You know, it is like when you are reading a book, and suddenly, you've got the feeling that the story you are reading, is talking about you personally ?

Are there any dexterious musicians you would like to play with? Yes, i would love to make a band with sheilla E on drums, Herbie Hancock on keys, Prince on guitar, jaques lucont on bass & James murphy on backingvocals :-)

Are you planning a tour in Italy? Yes, I've been playing for my first album in Italy, I should come this summer for a few gigs, and we are planning to make an european tour in sept, so it is going to be interesting to come and play in Italy.

Who is Mr.Fate? someone that sometimes, you can find on your way

In this time, the term pop has gained a negative meaning, you know. What do you think about it? Not at all, for me, pop music or even the term pop is not a bad word.there is no negative meanoing about it, this is what is exciting me the most in the creation .I'm a part of it since i am very youg, i've been raised in the pop culture, it is something quite important for me, and i think that's gave me the desire to do music at the end .
